My brother had the first generation Boxster when they were first released, it creaked inside like listing ship and bits of trim were falling off. Are Porsche’s still built that way? We can’t get any model from Porsche GB at http://www.dailycarblog.com, we upset them I think we just did it again. Nick will never forgive us again, just like he didn’t the first time. HA HA!!

Still saving the pennies for this car!!! I think you picked the best colour to photograph as well, have seen several around London now.

Problem with the 1 series is …… it’s a BMW. yuck.

Fantastic, witty review, and very true in terms of the handling of this tiger. Cayman great on the open road, not so great mooching around in. The yellow colour way to garish, red is so much more classy.

Very nice article. I am agree that Cayman is easier to handle than other cars, but for sure if someone is driving this car is a good driver..! Thanks also for the very nice fotos!!

i own the MK1 vrs with the 130 diesel and have raced one of these new 1.4tsi engines from a standstill and beat it in a 1 mile drag and recorded 0 -60 time in 7.9 STANDARD. skoda should have stuck the new 170 TDI engine in this vrs and let it rule the hot hatch world!!

It is voluntary not compulsory for manufacturers to have their cars crash tested by EuroNCAP – but the Twizy, unlike the vast majority of even the cheapest new cars, will not be tested. As a quadricycle, it also doesn’t have to pass the the same EEC crash tests that all new ‘cars’ have to. We’re not saying it’s unsafe – just incomparable to normal cars, which might concern some buyers.

There will be two door options for the Twizy; a side bar or half height doors – as far as we know, there isn’t an option for full enclosure. Which means you’ll get wet.

One point – it isn’t mandatory for any car to have a Euro N/CAP crash test and the majority of cars on sale today have not been tested to this standard.

There will be various door options available for the Twizy, so you actually get the best of both worlds – wind in the hair motoring for the sunny days, and a warm, enclosed car for wet and cold days.

But, counting in the still available VAT deal the Polo is a good 5 grand over the Fabia.

The Clio’s aceness I don’t doubt, but could I afford to run one? Fuel consumption and tax are pretty steep.

This is my first drive of this car and its a really good car (considering that its and old model A4 it should be) the trim and equipment levels are good (Leather & nav as standard my on criticism would be price, List price and net cost £1500 less and I think it would sell
